Akiko Ichikawa received her MFA from Hunter College in New York, her BA from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island and studied at Slade School of Art in London. She has exhibited at Andrew Kreps Gallery, Momenta Art, PS122 Gallery, Triple Candie, Socrates Sculpture Park and the Jamaica Center for Arts and Learning in New York. Reviews include The New York Times, Time Out New York and NY Arts. She has been awarded numerous grants and awards including the Longwood Cyber Residency, an Independent Project Grant from Artists Space, and a Djerassi Artists Residency. She has written on art for such publications as Flash Art, NY Arts and zingmagazine.
