Timothy Hutchings was born in St. Louis, Missouri, and now lives and works in New York City. He received his BFA in video from the Kansas City Art Institute and an MFA in sculpture from Yale University. Tim has had three solo shows in New York at I-20 Gallery. His work has also been shown at PS1/MoMA and the New Museum in New York, the Museo de Arte Contemporaneo and the Reina Sofia in Madrid, the Borusan Cultural Center in Instanbul, and many points in between. Reviews include artnet.com, Artforum, The New York Times, and The Village Voice. He has been awarded numerous residencies including Lower Manhattan Cultural Council's Swing Space Program, Aljira Emerge, and the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture.
